Product details
This wallpaper reflects a variation on a striped theme and dates from around 1820. The original fragment was discovered in a house from the 16th century; Lauderdale House on Highgate Hill that overlooks Hampstead Heath. The design is the result of stenciling instead of block printing: a solid green paper was previously attached to a jute canvas that was stretched over the wall, and was then stencilled on the spot.
