Paradise (c1940) celebrates a truly rich mix of styles. The document owned by English Heritage from which this paper was drawn is actually a piece from the 20th century, but the subject matter – exotic flora and the well-known oriental ho-ho birds – is classic old chinoiserie, while the color in the original very much in the style of a 19th century French paper. This design retains the oversized repetition of the original and has been reproduced in six stunning colours.
