Christian Astuguevieille, a fan of classical culture, enjoys playing with history. He made a freehand drawing of imaginary motifs from 18th century engravings taken from a collection called 'Antiquités étrusques, grecques, et romaines tirées du cabinet de M. Hamilton's (Etruscan, Greek, and Roman Antiquities from M. Hamilton's Cabinet), which is now housed in the French National Library. The artist is primarily interested in experimenting with codes and epochs.
